Travel Med Surg RN in Saint Johnsbury, VT

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide care for adult and occasional pediatric patients in a critical access hospital in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont, on a 13-week contract. The unit covers medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, and outpatient care, uses Meditech charting, and offers a broad scope in a rural setting. The role supports a collaborative team and may step into charge nurse duties when needed.

• Assess and monitor adult and occasional pediatric medical-surgical patients
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per provider orders
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient education
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary staff to support safe care
• Support patients across medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, and outpatient care
• Serve as charge nurse when needed

• Current Vermont Registered Nurse license or Compact Multistate Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care Registered Nurse experience

• Charge RN experience
• Meditech experience
