Travel Med Surg RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult med surg ortho patients in an acute care hospital in Portland, Oregon, on a 13-week contract. The unit uses Epic, averages 24 patients a day, and works with a 1:4 ratio. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Provide bedside care for adult med surg and ortho patients
• Administer medications, blood products, heparin, and insulin
• Monitor oxygen therapy, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway support
• Manage peripheral lines and isolation precautions
• Collaborate with rapid response, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy teams

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• 1 year of medical surgical nursing experience
• Rapid response/code team experience
• Charting system experience

• Continuous bladder irrigation, PCA, and surgical drain care
• IV starts and peripheral line management
• Traumatic brain injury, ortho trauma, and substance withdrawal care
• BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and cardiac drip monitoring
