Travel Med Surg RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for neuro patients in a hospital setting during a 13-week contract in Portland, Oregon. The unit uses Epic, runs 1:4 ratios, and serves neurovascular patients in a teaching hospital. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Perform neuro-focused medical-surgical assessments
• Monitor neurological status and report changes
• Administer medications and manage peripheral lines
• Assist with pre- and post-neurosurgery care
• Support patients with CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury, and substance withdrawal
• Document care in Epic and assist with rapid response and code teams

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NIHSS certification
• 2 years of recent neuro experience
• Epic charting experience
• Medical-surgical and MS/Tele care skills
• Neuro care with CVA, spinal cord injury, TBI, substance withdrawal, pre/post neurosurgery, isolation precautions/PPE, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care/management, and rapid response/code teams
