Travel Med Surg RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Oncology Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital for an 18-week contract in Portland, Oregon. The unit serves oncology patients, uses Epic charting, and has a 1:4 ratio.

• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments
• Monitor patients during continuous and oral chemotherapy
• Manage blood and blood product transfusions
• Maintain ports and central lines
• Perform chest tube care as needed
• Support neutropenic precautions and symptom management

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification
• 1 year of nursing experience
• Charting system experience
• Chemotherapy administration, continuous infusion, oral chemotherapy, blood and blood product administration, port care, central line or implanted line care, and management of ATLS, anaphylaxis, extravasation injury, hemorrhage, sepsis, spinal cord compression, altered mental status, constipation, diarrhea, dysphagia, edema, nausea, vomiting, neuropathy, chest tube care, and neutropenic precautions
