Travel Med Surg RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for neurovascular patients in a short term acute care hospital in Portland, Oregon on a 13-week contract. The unit uses Epic and has 1:4 ratios in a teaching hospital. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor neuro status and report changes
• Perform stroke assessments and support NIHSS documentation
• Care for CVA and traumatic brain injury patients
• Manage IV therapy and peripheral line care
• Support pre and post neurosurgical care
• Apply isolation precautions and PPE practices
• Assist with rapid response and code team activation

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NIHSS certification
• 2 years acute inpatient experience
• 1 year recent neuro patient experience
• Epic charting experience
• Neurovascular, stroke, and post-neurosurgery care skills
