Travel Med Surg RN in Orangeburg, SC

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide adult medical surgical care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The unit has 42 beds, uses Epic, and cares for post-op, wound care, and chest tube patients. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and care for adult medical-surgical patients
• Manage wound care, wound vacs, and surgical dressings
• Monitor and assist with chest tube care
• Support oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway support
• Provide care for patients with stroke, renal failure, and diabetes
• Use isolation precautions and maintain safe patient care
• Coordinate with the care team for daily treatment needs

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license or Compact license in hand before start
• BLS
• 1 year of Medical Surgical experience
• Experience with wound vacs, chest tubes, and surgical dressings
• Experience with CVA, renal failure, isolation precautions, oxygen administration, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care
• Epic charting experience

• ACLS
