Travel Med Surg RN in Orangeburg, SC

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide adult medical-surgical care in an acute care hospital in Orangeburg, South Carolina on a 13-week contract. The 42-bed unit sees 24 to 28 patients daily, uses Epic, and supports post-op surgical care, wound care, chest tube management, and peritoneal dialysis.

• Assess adult medical-surgical patients and update care plans
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Manage wound vacs, chest tubes, and surgical dressings
• Provide oxygen therapy, isolation precautions, and line care
• Support patients with stroke, renal failure, diabetes, and pneumonia
• Coordinate care with therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• Active South Carolina or compact Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• One year of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Epic charting experience
• Experience with wound vacs, chest tubes, and surgical dressings
• Adult medical-surgical, stroke, renal failure, and community hospital care experience

• ACLS certification
• Previous charge experience
