Travel Med Surg RN in Nashville, TN

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide bedside care in an acute care hospital neuro med/surg unit in Nashville, Tennessee for a 13-week contract. The unit has 20 beds, uses Meditech, and supports patients on a Comprehensive Stroke, Level II trauma, and chest pain center service line with tech and unit secretary support.

• Provide direct care for medical surgical and neuro patients
• Monitor telemetry, pulse oximetry, and other bedside equipment
• Administer medications and IV therapy as ordered
• Start IV lines and maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Perform basic wound care and support PCA use
• Prioritize patient needs and respond to changing conditions
• Deliver compassionate bedside handoff and include patients and families in care planning

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Med Surg nursing experience
• IV start, wound care, drain, nasogastric tube, and chest tube care skills
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask
