Travel Med Surg RN in Nashville, TN

A Travel Neuro Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide bedside care on a neuro med/surg unit in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Nashville, Tennessee. The unit has 20 beds, a 6:1 patient ratio, and uses Meditech. It is a comprehensive stroke center and an ACS verified Level II trauma center.

• Provide bedside care for neuro med/surg patients
• Monitor IV therapy, telemetry, pulse oximetry, and feeding support
• Start IVs and assist with wound care, drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Prioritize assignments and respond to changing patient needs
• Complete bedside shift reports and communicate with patients and families
• Document care and support safe unit operations

• Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee
• BLS certification
• Med Surg experience
• IV insertion skills
• Basic wound care and drain management
• Experience with nasogastric and chest tubes
