Travel Med Surg RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Medical Surgical Neuro Registered Nurse will care for neuroscience and neurosurgery patients in an acute care unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The 30-bed unit uses Epic charting and maintains a 1:4 ratio, with select telemetry and a mix of stroke, neurosurgery, and general neurology patients.

• Assess neurological status and vital signs
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies
• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in condition
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Support care for drains, lines, and feeding tubes
• Coordinate with therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Provide patient and family education

• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending acceptable
• 1 year of medical surgical experience
• Epic charting system experience
