Travel Med Surg RN in Thomasville, GA

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care on a med/surg ortho/neuro unit in Thomasville, Georgia for a 13-week contract. The unit serves adults and geriatrics with an average daily census of 15 and patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7.

• Assess and monitor adults and geriatrics on a medical surgical ortho/neuro unit
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and ordered treatments
• Start IVs and maintain vascular access
• Document nursing care and patient responses in the chart
• Coordinate care with therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Educate patients and support discharge planning
• Escalate changes in condition and respond to emergencies with the care team

• Current Georgia Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• 1 year of recent MedSurg experience
• IV Start skill
• FM-Intermediate experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• Previous travel experience
