Travel Med Surg RN in Thomasville, GA

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric nephrology patients on a unit in Thomasville, Georgia, for a 13 week contract. The unit serves hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients and uses Cerner.

• Provide nursing care for adult and geriatric nephrology patients
• Monitor patient response, vital signs, and laboratory trends
• Start and maintain IV access and support ordered therapies
• Assist with hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis care
• Follow isolation precautions and safe patient care practices
• Document assessments and interventions in Cerner

• Georgia Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• One year of recent Medical Surgical experience
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs
• Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge

• ACLS certification
• Telemetry experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Previous travel experience
• Cerner charting system experience
