Travel Med Surg RN in Thomasville, GA

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care on an oncology floor in a hospital in Thomasville, Georgia on a 13-week contract. The unit serves adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, with typical ratios of 1:6 to 1:7. Cerner charting is used.

• Provide direct medical-surgical care to oncology patients
• Monitor telemetry and report changes in condition
• Start and maintain IV access and therapies
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions
• Document care and responses in Cerner
• Collaborate with the care team to support safe outcomes

• Georgia Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience
• Telemetry monitoring and IV start skills
• Experience managing 1:6 to 1:7 patient ratios

• Oncology experience
• Cerner charting system experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Previous travel experience
