Travel Med Surg RN in Avon, IN

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care for adult medical patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Avon, Indiana. The unit manages 1:5-6 ratios and sees stroke, heart failure, delirium, dementia, dialysis, end-of-life, and behavioral health or withdrawal needs; first-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and monitor adult medical-surgical patients
• Administer blood products and manage IV therapy
• Support feeding tubes, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and high-flow oxygen care
• Perform central line blood draws and maintain peripheral and PICC access
• Manage heparin therapy and follow stroke care protocols
• Coordinate with therapy, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• Indiana Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NIHSS
• 1.5 years of medical-surgical experience
• Previous charge experience
• Blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management
• Peripheral IV starts and maintenance, feeding tube care, heparin, HFNC
