Travel Med Surg RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult medical-surgical patients in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Austin, Texas. The unit has 28 beds, uses Meditech, and typically sees 5:1 to 6:1 patient ratios with telemetry and video EEG support.

• Monitor medical-surgical patients and report changes in condition
• Administer medications and complete ordered treatments
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses in Meditech
• Assist with telemetry monitoring and video EEG support
• Use lifts and bedside equipment to support safe mobility
• Coordinate daily care with charge nurses and PCTs

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Hospital experience
• Medical-surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry experience
• NIH Stroke Scale experience

• 3 or more years of nursing experience
• Epilepsy care experience
