Travel Med Surg RN in Arlington, TX

A Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult post-surgical patients in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Arlington, Texas. The 30-bed unit uses Meditech charting and typically runs 1:6 patient ratios with support from charge nurses, PCTs, HUCs, and sitters. Care includes pain management and CIWA support.

• Monitor post-surgical and CIWA patients for changes in condition
• Deliver routine medical-surgical nursing care and follow care plans
• Support pain management and recovery after common procedures
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Meditech
• Use mechanical lifts and bladder scanners as needed
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, HUCs, and sitters
• Promote safe mobility and steady workflow across the unit

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• Medical-surgical or acute care experience

• Previous HCA experience
