Travel Med Surg RN in Arlington, TX

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide care in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Arlington, Texas. The 29-bed unit uses Meditech, standard equipment, and a 6:1 patient ratio, with general medicine, orthopedics, and neuro med surg patients.

• Assess adult medical-surgical patients and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and carry out treatment plans
• Assist with abdominal fluid removal and central line placement procedures
• Coordinate care with charge nurses, LVNs, techs, and support staff
• Document patient care in Meditech
• Educate patients and families on recovery and self-care
• Maintain safe, organized care for general medicine and orthopedic patients

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Acute care experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• Neuro med surg experience
• General medicine and orthopedics experience
