Travel Long Term Care RN in Seward, AK

A Travel Long Term Care Registered Nurse will provide nursing care and support residents in a long term care unit on a 13-week contract in Seward, Alaska. The unit serves residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s, uses ECS charting, and works with a 1:20 ratio.

• Assess residents and update care plans
• Administer medications, oxygen, and IV hydration as ordered
• Perform accuchecks, wound care, and glucose monitoring
• Support tube feedings, respiratory treatments, and other ordered therapies
• Assist with phlebotomy draws, isolation precautions, and peripheral line care
• Monitor residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and mobility or cognitive impairment

• Alaska Registered Nurse license in hand
• BLS certification
• 1 year of long term care experience
• Prior travel experience
• Any charting system experience
• Experience with oxygen administration, peripheral line care, and isolation precautions/PPE

• Previous charge experience
• Long term acute care experience
