Travel Long Term Care RN in Seward, AK

A Travel Long Term Care Registered Nurse will provide nursing care in a long term care unit during a 26 week contract in Seward, Alaska. The unit serves residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI and other long term care needs, with ECS charting and a 1:20 ratio. The setting has an average daily census of 40.

• Assess resident status and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV hydration and ordered treatments
• Perform accuchecks, glucose sensor support and blood sugar monitoring
• Provide wound care, tube feedings and respiratory treatments as ordered
• Assist with phlebotomy, oxygen support and safe transfers
• Document care in ECS and coordinate with the care team

• Active Alaska Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of long term care experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience with any charting system
• Oxygen administration, peripheral line care and isolation precautions

• Previous charge experience
• LTAC experience
