Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Smyrna, TN

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will support laboring patients in a hospital unit with 9 labor and delivery beds, 3 swing rooms, 2 operating rooms, and 3 obstetric evaluation beds in Smyrna, Tennessee on a 13-week contract. The unit uses CPN and Meditech, works with 1:2 ratios, and has a laborist team model with midwife and CRNA coverage around the clock. A level 2 NICU supports high-risk deliveries.

• Support laboring patients and promote patient-centered birth plans
• Assist with circulating in the operating room and other unit procedures
• Monitor fetal status and respond to changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Administer ordered therapies for labor, magnesium sulfate, and postpartum hemorrhage care
• Assist with IUPC, FSE, and nitrous oxide support as needed
• Collaborate with midwives, CRNA, and obstetric providers during high-risk deliveries

• Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Labor and delivery clinical skills
