Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care for laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients in an acute care hospital in Portland, Oregon for a 16-week contract. The unit serves women of childbearing years and newborns, uses Epic charting, and includes couplet care with a Level III NICU.

• Provide labor, antepartum, postpartum and mother-baby nursing care
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean births
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and maternal status
• Perform newborn assessments, APGAR scoring and thermoregulation support
• Administer medications, IV drips and magnesium sulfate therapy as ordered
• Respond to obstetric emergencies, hemorrhage and hypertension concerns
• Maintain infection control, infant identification and Epic documentation

• Current Oregon Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP certification
• 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Competence with labor, antepartum, postpartum, newborn and couplet care

• AWHONN Intermediate
• High-risk antepartum and obstetric emergency care
• Blood product administration, amnioinfusion and forceps or vacuum extraction support
