Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Des Moines, IA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide bedside care for laboring and postpartum patients during a 13-week contract in Des Moines, Iowa. The unit supports fetal monitoring and newborn transition in an acute care hospital setting.

• Assess laboring patients and monitor maternal and fetal status
• Support deliveries and assist with cesarean care as needed
• Provide intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care
• Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and help with stabilization
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and recovery
• Document care and coordinate with the care team

• Active Iowa Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN fetal heart monitoring certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Core labor and delivery assessment and fetal monitoring skills
