Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will care for obstetrical patients in Anchorage, Alaska on a 13-week contract. It is a Magnet acute hospital with Level II trauma status, Epic charting, and a 17-bed unit focused on high-risk labor, antepartum, and OB triage. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess patients in labor, antepartum, and OB triage
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and labor progress
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean recovery
• Provide postpartum care and newborn transition support
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and coordinate care
• Document assessments and interventions in Epic

• Active Alaska Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and NRP
• One year of labor and delivery experience
• Epic charting experience
• Experience with obstetric triage and high-risk deliveries

• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Amnioinfusion and VBAC management
• Breastfeeding support, discharge teaching, and newborn thermoregulation
