Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Kodiak Island, AK

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide labor and delivery care in a hospital for a 13-week contract in Kodiak Island, Alaska. The unit serves neonates, infants, and adults in a 4-bed labor and delivery unit with Epic charting and a Level IV trauma designation.

• Triage obstetric patients and assess maternal-fetal status
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond to abnormal findings
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and operative births
• Manage IV therapy, blood products, and labor medications
• Provide postpartum, newborn, and couplet care
• Teach breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge instructions
• Document care and collaborate with the care team in Epic

• Alaska Registered Nurse license
• 1 year of labor and delivery experience
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications

• Epic charting system experience
• AWHONN Advanced
• Amnioinfusion and internal fetal monitoring
• High-risk delivery and multiple birth support
