Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will support high-risk obstetric care in a hospital in Anchorage, Alaska on a 13-week contract. The unit includes OB triage, antepartum care, Epic charting, and Magnet and Level II trauma designations. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess obstetric patients in triage, labor, and antepartum care
• Monitor fetal and maternal status and respond to changes
• Assist with vaginal births, cesarean births, and obstetric procedures
• Provide charge nurse support and help direct unit flow
• Administer medications, IV therapy, drips, and blood products
• Support newborn care, resuscitation, and couplet care
• Document care in Epic and coordinate with the care team

• Alaska Registered Nurse license in hand
• BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and NRP
• 1 year of labor and delivery experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Epic charting experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• Amnioinfusion
• Breastfeeding support and lactation support
• VBAC management and trial of labor
• Teaching hospital experience
