Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care for labor, delivery, and high-risk antepartum patients in an acute hospital unit on a 26-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The unit uses Epic and serves adolescents and adults in a Magnet, Level II trauma hospital. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Provide triage and bedside care for obstetric patients
• Monitor fetal heart patterns, contractions, and maternal status
• Assist with vaginal births, cesarean births, and recovery care
• Support high-risk pregnancies, multiple gestation, and obstetric emergencies
• Administer IV medications, blood products, and drips as ordered
• Perform newborn assessment, thermoregulation, and parent teaching

• Alaska Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and NRP
• 1 year of labor and delivery experience
• Epic charting system experience

• Charge experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Amnioinfusion
• VBAC management and trial of labor
