Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will care for obstetric patients in a hospital in Anchorage, Alaska on a 26-week contract. The unit serves high-risk labor, antepartum, and OB triage patients and uses Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome, and the setting includes Magnet and Level II trauma care.

• Triage obstetric patients and assess labor progress
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and support NSTs
• Assist with vaginal, cesarean, and high-risk deliveries
• Provide antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care
• Administer IV therapies, drips, and blood products
• Support cervical exams, cord sampling, and cesarean recovery
• Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care

• Alaska Registered Nurse license in hand
• BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and NRP
• 1 year of labor and delivery experience
• Epic charting experience
• High-risk obstetrics, fetal monitoring, and obstetrical triage skills
• Cesarean recovery, newborn assessment, and postpartum care skills

• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Amnioinfusion and VBAC management
• Lactation support and cesarean scrub skills
