Travel ICU RN in Napa, CA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Napa, California. The 20-bed unit cares for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with an average daily census of 10, uses Epic, and staffs 1:2 ratios. The role supports sepsis, respiratory failure, trauma, and ventilated patients.

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, trauma, and neurologic concerns
• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal
• Manage ventilated patients and other advanced respiratory support needs
• Apply infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response, and other support teams
• Document patient status and interventions in Epic

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2 years of intensive care experience
• Experience caring for patients at a 1:2 ratio
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• Epic charting system experience
• Cardiovascular and neuro intensive care experience
• Stroke, post craniotomy, and traumatic brain injury experience
• Hypothermia protocol and ICP monitoring experience
