Travel ICU RN in Napa, CA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital ICU on a 13-week contract in Napa, California. The unit serves adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, has 20 beds, an average daily census of 10, and uses Epic charting.

• Monitor and assess critically ill patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, trauma, and neurological conditions
• Manage ventilated patients and support advanced ICU therapies such as CRRT, IABP, and Impella
• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal
• Respond to changes in patient status and coordinate timely interventions
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, and other support services
• Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions while delivering bedside care

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of intensive care unit experience
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
• Ventilated patient care
• Medical intensive care unit and surgical intensive care unit experience

• CVICU experience
• Stroke, neuro, and post-neurosurgery experience
• Hypothermia protocol and ICP monitoring experience
• Epic charting system experience
