About this job
A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for critically ill adults in an acute care hospital on a 9-week contract in Fishers, Indiana. The unit serves ICU, PCU and medical-surgical patients, with Cerner charting, 1:2 to 1:4 ratios, and ventilator and Arctic Sun support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide bedside care for critically ill adults
- Manage ventilated patients and advanced respiratory support
- Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Monitor dysrhythmias, ABGs and hemodynamic status
- Assist with chest tubes, sheath removal and cath lab care
- Support procedural sedation and cardiac interventions
Qualifications
- Indiana Registered Nurse license
- ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
- 3 years of Intensive Care Unit experience
- Prior travel experience
Preferred Skills
- Cerner charting system experience
- FloTrac/Vigileo, Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump monitoring
- Care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
