Travel ICU RN in Des Moines, IA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide direct care for critically ill patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Des Moines, Iowa. The role focuses on close monitoring, rapid assessment, and coordinated treatment in a high-acuity unit.

• Monitor critically ill patients and report changes promptly
• Administer medications, infusions, and treatments as ordered
• Perform ongoing assessments and document patient status
• Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Manage ventilatory, hemodynamic, and other critical care support as needed
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge planning

• Active Iowa Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Critical care nursing experience
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
