Travel Home Health RN in Torrance, CA

A Travel Home Health Registered Nurse will provide skilled in-home care on a 13-week contract in Torrance, California. The caseload averages 5 to 6 adults and geriatrics per day and includes heart failure, diabetes, wound care, IV therapy and OASIS charting.

• Complete start of care, resumption of care and routine visits
• Assess adult and geriatric patients with complex home health needs
• Perform wound care and pressure injury prevention
• Manage IV therapy, peripheral lines, central lines and ports
• Administer medications and support anticoagulant management
• Change PICC line dressings and support catheter and tube care
• Document findings in OASIS and complete clinical assessments

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 2 years of home health Registered Nurse experience with high-volume caseloads
• 1 year of previous home health travel experience
• Recent OASIS experience
• Home health skills in wound care, IV therapy, medication management and catheter care

• Colostomy or ileostomy care
• Drain management and wound VAC experience
• Nebulizer teaching and suprapubic catheter care
