About this job

A Travel Endoscopy Registered Nurse will provide 1:1 pre, post, and intraprocedural care in an acute care hospital endoscopy unit on a 13-week contract in Carmel, Indiana. The unit serves pediatric and adult patients and uses Cerner. First-time travelers are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pre, post, and intraprocedural nursing care
  • Assist with upper and lower GI procedures
  • Support bronchoscopy, ERCP, and EUS cases
  • Monitor patients receiving sedation and recovery
  • Start and maintain IV access and obtain EKGs
  • Scrub and circulate for endoscopy procedures

Qualifications

  • Indiana Registered Nurse license
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS
  • 3 years of endoscopy experience
  • Cerner, pediatric, and bronchoscopy experience within the last 2 years

Preferred Skills

  • EBUS, EUS, and ERCP experience
  • Conscious sedation monitoring and recovery
  • Specimen handling and labeling
