Travel EMT / ER Tech in Asheville, NC

A Travel Emergency Medical Technician will support emergency care patients in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract.

The unit uses Cerner and manages medical patients and behavioral holds in a Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center, with ratios of 4:1 and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds.

• Assist with triage and patient intake
• Monitor patients and support cardiac monitoring workflows
• Support care for medical patients and behavioral holds
• Collect vital signs and update clinical information
• Help maintain patient experience communication and unit readiness
• Collaborate with nurses and providers during emergency care

• North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician credential
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS before start
• ENPC within 90 days of hire
• 2 years of emergency department experience, including Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke exposure
• Strong teamwork and real-time feedback skills

• Experience in a high-volume emergency department
