Per Diem EMT / ER Tech in Spokane, WA

A Per Diem Emergency Department Technician will support patient care in an acute care hospital in Spokane, Washington. Charting uses Epic, and the role works with adult and pediatric patients, behavioral health needs, and a wide range of emergency procedures.

• Monitor vital signs and report abnormal findings
• Assist with bedside procedures, specimen collection, and transport
• Perform phlebotomy and 12 lead EKGs
• Support ADLs, ambulation, feeding, and comfort care
• Apply restraints and provide behavioral health de-escalation
• Follow isolation precautions and use PPE properly
• Provide post-mortem care and document care in Epic

• AHA BLS certification
• 1 year of Emergency Department Technician experience, or 6 to 12 months of Emergency Department experience as a current EMT
• Epic charting experience
• Emergency Department skills in phlebotomy, 12 lead EKGs, specimen handling, restraint application, and behavioral health de-escalation
