Travel ED RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The unit has a fast pace, averages 3:1 ratios, and uses Meditech charting and Alaris equipment. Pediatric cases are managed with team nursing, and low-acuity patients may be assigned up to 5:1.

• Assess emergency patients and prioritize care
• Start IVs and administer medications
• Support sedation care and pediatric team nursing
• Monitor patient status and report changes promptly
• Document care in Meditech and scan patients and medications
• Work closely with the charge nurse, physician, and midlevel provider

• Kansas Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC
• Travel experience or experience in large facility settings

• ENPC
• Meditech charting experience
• Experience in facilities larger than 52 beds
