Travel ED RN in West Hollywood, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will care for emergency patients in a hospital in West Hollywood, California on a 13-week contract. The unit serves adults and children, averages 280 visits, uses Epic, and is part of a teaching medical center and comprehensive stroke and trauma center.

• Assess and stabilize emergency patients across all age groups
• Initiate and maintain IV access and assist with blood product administration
• Monitor procedural sedation and support emergency medication administration
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond to changing patient conditions
• Provide care for psychiatric holds, suicidal patients, and violent behavior
• Support boarded inpatients from ICU, med tele, and med surg

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• IV starts, phlebotomy, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, procedural sedation, and psychiatric emergency care

• TNCC and trauma and triage experience
• Epic charting system experience
• BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, chest tube management, intubation, IV insulin protocols, and IV vasopressors
