Per Diem ED RN in Apple Valley, CA

A Per Diem Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital emergency department in Apple Valley, California. The unit cares for neonates through geriatrics, uses Epic, maintains a 1:4 ratio, and receives stroke and STEMI patients.

• Assess and stabilize patients across all age groups in the emergency department
• Monitor for changes in condition and respond to dysrhythmias and respiratory needs
• Start and maintain IV access and support blood product administration
• Assist with care for ventilated patients and patients on BiPAP or CPAP
• Follow isolation precautions and safety practices during care delivery
• Coordinate with support services to deliver timely emergency treatment

• Current California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• 1 year of recent emergency department experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Experience with 1:4 patient ratios
• Skills in IV starts, dysrhythmia management, ventilated patient care, BiPAP or CPAP, and blood product administration

• TNCC, CPI, or MAB
• Arterial line and central line care
• Triage, trauma, and neuro injury experience
