Travel ED RN in Thousand Oaks, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital in Thousand Oaks, California on an 11-week contract. The unit serves adult and pediatric patients, uses Meditech, and manages trauma, stroke, STEMI, and cardiac care in a Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke setting.

• Provide emergency nursing care for patients across the lifespan
• Support stroke, STEMI, trauma, and cardiac interventions
• Administer IV therapy, drips, and emergency medications
• Assist with conscious sedation, intubation support, and ventilator care
• Deliver pediatric, gynecologic, orthopedic, and wound care
• Monitor admitted patients held in the emergency department

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI
• 1 year of emergency department experience with STEMI, stroke, and Level II or Level III trauma services; experience caring for birth to geriatric patients

• 2 to 3 years of emergency department experience with STEMI, stroke, and Level II or Level III trauma services
• Triage experience
• Experience in a moderate to large emergency department
