Per Diem ED RN in Torrance, CA

A Per Diem Emergency Department Registered Nurse will care for patients in the emergency department in Torrance, California. The unit serves neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, uses Cerner charting, and maintains a 1:4 ratio.

• Perform triage and prioritize emergency care
• Assess and monitor patients across the lifespan
• Support care for stroke and STEMI presentations
• Administer medications and continuous IV sedation as ordered
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes
• Collaborate with respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other support teams

• California Registered Nurse license
• Two years of recent emergency department experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Cerner charting experience
• Pediatric emergency department experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Continuous IV sedation competency

• TNCC
• ICP monitoring
• Triage experience
