Travel ED RN in Truth Or Consequences, NM

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a critical access hospital on a 13-week contract in Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico. The unit has 6 beds and 7 rooms, serves neonates through geriatrics, and uses Vapotherm with support from respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, phlebotomy, and a unit secretary. The setting includes Level 4 trauma care.

• Triage and assess emergency patients across all age groups
• Initiate care for chest pain, MI, sepsis, stroke, overdose, trauma, and respiratory complaints
• Administer medications, fluids, and oxygen therapy
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and ventilated patients
• Support trauma and emergency procedures in the unit
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, phlebotomy, and the unit secretary

• Current New Mexico Registered Nurse license or compact license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Prior travel experience
• Ventilated patient care and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Triage experience

• Experience in a Level I trauma center
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
