Travel ED RN in Torrance, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Torrance, California. Epic charting is used, and first-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and stabilize emergency patients across the lifespan
• Administer IV medications, blood products and other ordered therapies
• Monitor dysrhythmias, neurologic status and hemodynamic changes
• Support procedural sedation, central line care and IV access
• Collaborate with the care team during urgent interventions
• Document assessments, treatments and responses in Epic

• California Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS and PALS certifications
• Epic charting system experience
• IV therapy, dysrhythmia interpretation and blood product administration skills

• TNCC, EDAP or ENPC, and triage experience
• Trauma, pediatric and stroke-certified emergency department experience
• BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patient and arterial line management
• Charge experience and teaching hospital experience
