Travel ED RN in Torrance, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital on a 16-week contract in Torrance, California. The unit serves neonates through geriatrics in a 35-bed emergency department with Epic charting and an average daily census of 185; first-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and stabilize emergency patients across all age groups
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies
• Monitor dysrhythmias and respond to rapid changes
• Support procedural sedation, central line care, and ICP monitoring
• Start and maintain IV access and collect specimens
• Document care in Epic and coordinate with the care team

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Combined adult and pediatric, non-trauma emergency department experience
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
• Epic charting system experience
• Emergency nursing skills with CVA care, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia management, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, phlebotomy, and IV starts

• TNCC
• EDAP or ENPC
• Arterial line, BiPAP/CPAP, and ventilated patient skills
• Trauma, stroke, triage, charge, and teaching hospital experience
