Travel ED RN in Torrance, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital on a 16-week contract in Torrance, California. The unit serves neonates through geriatrics, uses Epic charting, and works at a 1:4 ratio. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Triage and stabilize emergency patients across the age range
• Start and maintain IV access and support blood product administration
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, dysrhythmias, and hemodynamic changes
• Assist with procedural sedation, central line care, and IV vasopressors
• Support stroke care, neuro monitoring, and rapid response interventions
• Coordinate care with the emergency team and ancillary services

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS and PALS
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Emergency department skills in IV therapy, dysrhythmia management, blood products, central line care and procedural sedation

• TNCC
• ENPC or EDAP
• Trauma and pediatric emergency department experience
• Charge nurse or teaching hospital experience
