Travel ED RN in San Pedro, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital in San Pedro, California for a 13-week contract. The unit has 16 beds, sees 120 visits per day, serves neonates through geriatrics, and works at a 1:4 ratio. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess emergency patients across all age groups
• Triage and prioritize care based on acuity
• Start and maintain IV access and administer ordered medications
• Manage blood products, ventilator support, and noninvasive ventilation
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, neurologic status, and response to treatment
• Assist with procedural sedation, stroke care, and emergency interventions

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Experience with IV therapy, blood products, ventilated patients, and procedural sedation
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program

• TNCC
• Epic charting system experience
• Level I or Level II trauma experience
• Teaching hospital experience
