Travel ED RN in San Antonio, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in San Antonio, Texas. The nine-bed unit uses Meditech and sees patients who need triage, rapid assessment, monitoring, and stabilization. It supports a 4:1 patient ratio in a fast-paced setting.

• Triage patients and prioritize care using ESI
• Perform emergency assessments and ongoing reassessments
• Administer medications and support IV therapy
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and obtain EKGs
• Assist with moderate sedation and emergency stabilization
• Provide care for trauma and stroke patients
• Communicate changes and coordinate with the care team

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Proficiency in triage, ESI, emergency assessment, and medication administration
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills

• Trauma care and stroke care
• Moderate sedation
