Travel ED RN in Pomona, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Pomona, California. The unit has 72 beds, sees 270-300 patients daily, uses Cerner, and is a Magnet, teaching, Level II trauma setting with monitored beds except fast track. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Perform triage and rapid assessments of emergency patients
• Monitor monitored beds and respond to changing conditions
• Initiate IV therapy and emergency treatments
• Assist with dysrhythmia management and respiratory support
• Coordinate care with providers and support staff
• Document assessments and interventions in the charting system
• Deliver age-appropriate care across the lifespan

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, MAB or CPI, NIHSS, TNCC, and CCRN
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Triage experience and trauma Level II or III experience
• Community hospital experience, prior travel experience, and electronic charting system experience
• Emergency care skills in dysrhythmia management, central line care, IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patient care, and isolation precautions
