Travel ED RN in Pasadena, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in the emergency department for a 13-week contract in Pasadena, Texas. The unit has 30 beds, uses Meditech charting, and sees acuity-driven ratios up to 1:5.

• Deliver emergency nursing care to high-acuity patients
• Triage and monitor patients with trauma, STEMI, stroke and sepsis
• Assist with thoracotomy, arterial lines and massive transfusion protocol
• Use advanced monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound and EKG equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and leadership during rapid changes
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses in the record

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC and CPI with TIC certifications
• Extensive emergency department experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke and sepsis
• Strong critical thinking and high-acuity assessment skills

• Adult and pediatric emergency department experience
• NRP certification
• STABLE certification
