Travel ED RN in North Kansas City, MO

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency nursing care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in North Kansas City, Missouri. The unit serves varied patients across all age groups and uses Cerner in a level II trauma setting.

• Assess and stabilize patients with medical, surgical, and behavioral emergencies
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and neurological status
• Administer emergency medications, IV therapy, and blood products
• Assist with trauma, airway, chest tube, and central line care
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and support dysrhythmia management
• Provide care for pediatric and adult patients with high-acuity conditions

• Missouri Registered Nurse license or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, and CPI certification
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Cerner charting experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience with 4-patient ratios and level II trauma settings

• Arterial line management
• Ventilator care and ICP monitoring
• Triage experience
• Level I trauma center, teaching hospital, or community hospital experience
