Travel ED RN in Newton, IA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital emergency room on a 13-week contract in Newton, Iowa.

• Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity
• Assess and monitor patients with urgent and emergent conditions
• Administer medications and start intravenous therapy as needed
• Assist with stabilization, trauma care and other emergency procedures
• Support providers during cardiac and pediatric emergencies
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses
• Coordinate care with the emergency team and other departments

• Iowa Registered Nurse license
• BLS, PALS, ACLS and TNCC certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
